…so why don’t they do it?
Is a big question that’s been following me round today. I had a customer in the shop this morning who (in my mind) was hugely inspirational. She had lost four stone since August last year. When I asked her the mandatory ‘how’? She replied, healthy eating and exercise.
Now, while we could argue about what consititutes a ‘healthy diet’, those two componants seem to be consistent in achieving weight loss. As we discussed this, this lady said the magical words (I’ve heard time after time), ‘We all know what to do…’
And there is the crux of it. We all know what to do, but we both agreed we couldn’t put our finger on what the magic ingredient was. We’ve seen it, experienced it. It was glowing out of her every pore. She was radiating positivity and happiness and yet couldn’t tell me exactly what IT was.
And then later this afternoon I was watching a podcast run as part of the Women’s Strength Summit (see here). The speaker, ‘Cinnamon Prime’ (is that really her real name?), is a life coach preaching the ‘paleo’ lifestyle among other things. Just five minutes into the podcast she exclaimed… ‘People know what to do’.
There it was again. The exact same phrase.
Bugger me if I couldn’t just identify and bottle the catalyst for changing ‘People know what to do’ into actual doing. I’d be richer than a rich thing. And more importantly people would be living healthier and happier lives.
The link to coach Primes podcast is here. It’s free and just requires registration and will be available for the next three days. I’m off to watch the rest of it, and find the magic answer, but just thought it was too good not to share with you all. In return, if you could just share this weeks lottery numbers with me I’d be ever so grateful.
Ta and good luck
