A few years ago Alan and I adopted the habit of setting goals for the year following. Goals are more resilient than resolutions and not so easily discarded.
We have not always been successful in the achievement of our goals. And I suspect, that’s partly because they have never been written down for everyone to see. That excuse no longer exists, so in the interest of personal fulfilment, here they are for 2014:
1. By 31st December 2014 I will lose another 52lbs. (Crikey, that looks a lot written down!)
2. I will run a sub five hour marathon in September specifically targeting the Loch Ness marathon on 28th September 2014.
3. I will finish Ironman Austria in June 2014 in under 15 hours.
So, there you go all laid out for you to review at your leisure but not mine, it looks like I’m going to be quite busy 😉
